Butterflies: Observations, Photography and Conservation
Saturday, April 3, 2010 @ 7 PM

Patty Lambert will introduce us to butterflies through photos, discussion and a DVD and share her findings as a volunteer for the Vermont Butterfly Survey. She was born in Newport, Rhode Island and lives with her husband in Richford, Vermont. She received a nursing degree from Children's Hospital School of Nursing in Boston and a B.S. in Business Management from Southern Vermont College in Bennington. She has had a life long interest in wildlife and the outdoors through hiking, camping, bird watching, kayaking, downhill skiing and snowshoeing. As a volunteer for Vermont Center for Eco-studies, she was very involved in the 5-year Vermont Butterfly Survey providing data for 10 blocks across northern Vermont. She is actively involved with VINS, VCE, the National Wildlife Federation, The Nature Conservancy and the Hazen's Notch Association (currently as a Board member).
